SWEET, JUICY PEACHES
PEACH SEASON IS OVER FOR THE YEAR
Peaches can be purchased in the farm market in a variety of quantities. All varieties are available in 1 litre, 1.5 litre, 3 litre, and 7 litre baskets. Freestone and Clingstone peaches are available in 11 quart baskets and by the bushel as well. *If you are interested in purchasing several bushels of peaches at a time, we recommend that you call our farm market before you make the trip to Delhaven.
Semi-freestone
Semi-freestone peaches are early-harvest peaches, with the season beginning in mid to late July. These peaches are great for eating. The flesh does not come as easily off of the pit as the freestone peaches, but the flavour is sweet and delicious.
*Sometimes the flesh of the peach clings to the pit, this can depend on the growing season.
Tangos
Tangos or flat peaches have become a very popular peach for eating. Tango is a clingstone variety, meaning the flesh of the peach sticks to the pit. The flesh of the peach is firm, yet very sweet and juicy.
Freestone
Freestone peaches are picked in early-August until mid-September. Excellent peaches for eating, freezing and canning, these peaches are sweet, juicy and delicious.

Clingstone
Clingstone peaches are a delicious peach popular for eating, canning and freezing. The flesh of the peach is firm and the flavour is sweet and delicious. Vinegold and Catherina are the two varieties of clingstone peaches grown at Delhaven. Clingstone peaches are ready to be picked in mid-August and they are available until early September.
